I recently tried out the REDTIGER F7NP Dash Cam with its rear camera setup, and here’s what I found after putting it to use on the road. From installation to video quality and features, here’s what stood out to me.

Setup & Installation
The packaging was clean and well-organized. Inside the box, I found the front and rear cameras, a 32GB microSD card, a car charger, long power cables, adhesive mounts, and a small plastic tool to help hide the wires. Please note that the contents of the package may vary – make sure to check before purchasing.

Installation was pretty straightforward. Mounting the front cam was easy, and while routing the rear camera cable took a bit more time, it wasn’t overly complicated.

Video Quality
The front camera records in 4K, and the image quality is clear, especially during the day. The rear camera captures in 1080p, which is good enough for general rear coverage – nothing super sharp, but useful for parking and seeing what’s going on behind you.

The Sony STARVIS CMOS sensor helps in low-light situations too – nighttime video isn’t flawless, but it’s noticeably better than average.
App & Connectivity
The dash cam connects to your phone using built-in WiFi, and the REDTIGER app lets you view footage, download videos, adjust settings, and access GPS data. It’s functional, it works, but could use some polishing. Download speeds are decent if you’re using 5GHz WiFi on your phone.

Features That Stood Out
- Loop Recording and G-Sensor work together to make sure important clips are automatically saved if something sudden happens (like hard braking or a collision).
- It has GPS functionality, so it logs your driving route, speed, and location data right onto the footage.
- The cam includes a 24-hour parking mode. I didn’t test this function myself since it requires a separate hardwire kit, but it’s definitely a useful option if you want the camera to keep recording while your car is parked.

Build & Design
The unit itself feels sturdy and well put together. It uses a supercapacitor instead of a regular battery, which is a big plus in terms of reliability – especially if you live somewhere with hot weather.

The screen on the camera is bright and easy to navigate, and I liked having basic settings available directly on the device without always needing the app.
Final Thoughts
Overall, the REDTIGER F7N offers a good mix of features, solid build quality, and decent video performance for the price. The front cam delivers clear 4K footage, the rear cam gives you peace of mind, and features like GPS and parking mode add useful functionality.

If you’re looking for a front and rear dash cam setup that covers the basics well – and includes some advanced extras like app control and GPS tracking – it’s a solid choice. Just keep in mind, to get the full benefit of features like 24/7 parking monitoring, the hardwire kit is a must.
